"Illuminae" by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff | Book Review

Series: The Illuminae Files (Book #1)
Genre: Young Adult, Science Fiction
Page Count: 599
First Published: October 20, 2015

Taking place in the year 2575, Illuminae is a Young Adult space opera told through chat transcripts, diary entries, files, video transcripts, emails, and other "found footage" documents. Kady and Ezra are separated during an evacuation, there is a warship in pursuit of the evacuating fleet, the fleet's AI is acting crazy, and there may also be an outbreak of a mutating virus on board of one of the ships. Needless to say, the first installment of The Illuminae Files keeps its readers at the edge of their seats.
