Inspired by... "Vicious"
I loved Vicious by V.E. Schwab, I couldn't put it down! I also think the cover that I have is awesome, and I was inspired by the colors and sharp lines to create this makeup look. I have to say, it turned out to be a very classic winged liner and red lips kind of look, but I think it goes perfectly with the cover. I did my best to stay in character in these photos :) This look is really quick and easy to do—the only potential struggle is the liquid liner, but it can be done with practice. Trust me, if I could learn to do it with my not-so-steady hands—you definitely can too.
After applying my foundation and concealer, I reached for my beloved Lorac Pro Palette 2. The first shade I used was Snow, which I put all over the lid. Seriously, it's everywhere, even up to my brow bone—I just made sure to sheer it out really well above the crease, so it doesn't look too severe. Then I used a mixture of Silver and Chrome in my crease, just a little bit to give more dimension to the eye. I also put a bit of Silver right under my lower lash line. After that, it was all about the liquid liner, and the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner was my weapon of choice. I wanted to make the line noticeable, but not too thick. Then it was time to apply plenty of mascara—I used the Ellis Faas Mascara in Black.
Before moving on to the rest of the face, I lined my lower waterline with MAC's Fascinating Eye Kohl (which is white) and actually extended it beyond the outer corner of my eye, lining right under the black liner wing. After that, I used the Buxom True Hue Blush in Tryst on my cheeks, and a tiny bit of Snow again on top of my cheekbones as a highlighter. Finally, I put on plenty of my new favorite red lipstick—NARS Audacious Lipstick in Rita. I hope you like this look! I think it's definitely wearable, especially for a holiday party.
